Souths Finest Indian Cuisine
Saffron Restaurant brings together some of the finest culinary traditions from South Asia. It has the spiciness of hot chilli peppers, the sweetness of coconut milk, the pungency of fresh herbs and spices and the saltiness of fresh fish. But more than anything it has the inspiration and the beautiful presentation which are inextricably Sub-Continental.
Contrary to popular opinion, not all Indian food is fearsomely hot. Spices are used to enhance taste and not hide it. People will generally order a selection of dishes and share them as a group. Typically these will include a soup, a curry, a steamed dish, a fried dish, spicy salad, a meat dish, a fish dish and steaming mounds of boiled rice or basmati rice.
The management and staff of Saffron Restaurant awaits to welcoming you and serving you. Hoping that you will enjoy your time with them.
Spices are the keynote of traditional Indian Cuisine. Different regions have adopted blends of different spices and herbs to compliment the type of food and climate. From the delicately spiced dishes of the north, to the hot spicy foods of the south, to the great seafood dishes from the coastal regions. In preparing our menu for you we have included not only the popular dishes usually found in Indian Restaurants but we have also included a selection of dishes not often seen in England. Each dish has its own distinctive flavour which comes from selected herbs and spices which have to be seperately prepared for each dish.
Should you wish a dish not shown on the menu please ask your waiter and we will do our best to prepare it for you. Should you have any cause for complaint, a member of our management will attend to it personally. Finally we look forward to seeing you at the restaurant

"Lovely, I'm stuffed. Chicken Tikka Massala was out of this world will definitely come back"
"We are regular customers, and always happy with food and service."
"We travel to Eastleigh from Wales often, and wouldn't eat anywhere else."
"My partner and I were looking vaguely for an Indian restaurant on a very rare night in Eastleigh. We stumbled across the Saffron restaurant, which from the outside didn't look very much at all. We were treated to the most wonderfully warm and friendly service. The food was evidently all freshly cooked and was just an absolute delight. I would recommend this restaurant not only to people within the Eastleigh area, but I would encourage anyone to travel from a long way to experience something quite different and special. We will definitely be back!!!"
"Excellent food, service and value. I go around once a week, one of my favourites restaurants in the city. Try the prawn kurma or the Lamb Tikka Massala Mmmmm"
"I have been a couple of times to this restaurant and it's excellent. There are lots of different options and because they cook as you order, you can always tailor your dish to have more salt, less salt etc. Highly recommended."
"WoW! Went there with my partner and brother and the food was amazing and the service so friendly. We were very impressed and left feeling very happy."
If you are a newcomer to Indian food, start off with something mild and work up towards the heights of something more spicy. Curries, particularly those with coconut milk base are often less piquant than in Europe or India.
